To further promote the USFTL, the IFFF has agreed to make the USFTL Nationals in Orlando, FL, a "points-only" World Cup Qualifier. All teams who register and compete in the USFTL Nationals will be eligible to compete in the World Cup Invitational, hosted Feb. 23-24 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. In addition, two more TEAM USA members will be selected at USFTL Nationals, as well as additional coaching staff.
" USFTL Nationals will be held January 19 & 20 in Orlando,Florida.

Tampa,FL-Let It Fly

    An amazing 600  teams, 3000 players, took part in the 9th annual four man no contact tournament held at the University of South Florida campus in Tampa this past weekend.The top four of each division will qualify for the Nationals which will be held March 30-31st in at the Lake Parker Soccer complex in Lakeland,FL.All teams will be responsible for their own travel and lodging. Only the winning teams will receive free entry, all others will pay $300 entry fee.The top four teams in each division of every local event qualify for the National Finals. Team captains will receive Nationals information via US Mail. Qualifying teams in all divisions must have at least three of the original roster and may use only 1 other person from another qualifying team. Winners of the Top Gun division in each local event receive free entry into the National Finals. The winner of the Top Gun division at Nationals will receive $12,000, 2nd place will receive $3,000.All other divisions will receive trophies and merchandise awards.
     In the Men's Top Gun division, fifty six teams battled it an extremely competitive overall field. It was an all Jacksonville final as Rocky Top edged out archival the Playmakers 20-19 in the title game.Rocky Top was on fire early and took a commanding 20-0, when Q.B. David Callhan connected with two long TD passes to his brother Tim Callahan, and a 8 yard TD pass to Daniel "Smokey" Holmes. The Playmakers charged right back as Q.B. Mike Itani connected with Darnell Jackson, and then Chad Townsend intercepted Rocky Top on the ensuing drive. Itani then connected on a 3rd and long hail mary pass to Ray Riley to bring the score to 20-13. Itani then threw a 5 yard TD pass to Ray Riley, the extra point failed and that was the end of the scoring. Rocky Top held off the playmakers on the last play of the game, as Daniel Smoky Holmes picked off the Itani pass in the endzone to secure the win. Jacksonville was well represented as three of the final teams were all from that city. In the semis, The Playmakers defeated the Ducks while  Rocky Top defeated Miami's Trump tight. The quarterfinals were extremely competitive  as all the games came down to the wire. Rocky Top beat Deep Threat, Playmakers defeated Siska,Ducks beat Elvis Lives and Trump tight beat Rip Tide.
     In the Women's Top Gun division hometown team Jungle won the field of five  teams  by defeating the Fury of Miami 20-13 in the championship. In the youth 11 & under division, the Bucaneers defeated the Terminators in an exciting game. In the over 40 Div, Obadiah of Jacksonville defeated Dominos 25-18. In competitive divisions championship games ,Clearwaters-Suicide Kings  beat Minnesota 14-0, Chevy Boys of Cleawater beat Shank Shift 23-21,Rage of Tampa defeated Code Red 26-12, Temple Titans beat the Rebels 28-6,No Shame defeated Gulf Coast Planes 21-14 and the Hitmen defeated Power Rangers 28-0.
   Other division winners included,Recreational- SWB,Viagra,Assasins,Shutem Down(12 & under),.Leo Falcons(18 &under),


Memorable Moments
All Td's scores with 8 seconds remaining against the Ducks in the playoffs to take a 20-19 lead. The Ducks throw a hailmary pass that is cought by
Vladimir Zec who does not appear to be in the endzone, and  an All Td's defender pulls the flag which appears to be on the one yard line, but the Ducks are awarded the score and the win.

3 of the Final Four Top gun teams are from Jacksonville,FL

In the Top Gun Championship game, the Playmakers almost  comeback from 20-0 deficit.
