The Boston Metro League suffered a great loss this week as the captain of the Beans football team died tragically in a motorcycle accident. The Beans are an 8Man B team in their 2nd year playing out of Brockton,MA.

Eric was only 22 years old!!

This is the  third BMFFL player to die in  a Motorcycle accident in consecutive years.

Boston,MA- Wash Tap team suffers a great loss!
The Boston Metro suffered another tragic loss of a player this weekend. Washington Tap, an 8Man B Division team, lost LB-23 year old Thom Madjerec who drowned this past Saturday after his canoe capsized.His friends John bar and Patrick Smith where were in the canoe and were rescued but Thom’s body was not found until Sunday morning in the chilly whitmond pond located in Weymouth,MA.

Boston Metro Flag League championship games all come down to the Wire.
All five championship games came down to the final seconds as the fall season came to end this past season. Seventy teams competed overall. In the 8Man A  Division final the Outlaws of Providence defeated arch rival Rip Tide of Providence,RI 20-14, in the 8 Man B Div The Shamrocks scored with under two minutes remaining and made  two points conversion and then held on for the one point win. In 8Man C Arnold Park won with 9 seconds remaining 26-20. In the 4man A Div, Bronze's edge of Manchester,NH defeated Silverbullets of Assonet,MA 19-18 in the if game, and in the 4Man B Div the Hurricanes of Manchester,NH defeated the Bingers of Billerica,MA 18-13

Winning Teams will receive Trophy, MVP Plaque, T-shirts and the league will pay the entry fee for the USFTL Nationals in Orlando,FL Jan 19/20th.

Nov 4th is a bye week, for the USFTL New England Regionals.

Any team caught with an illegal player will be disqualified from the playoffs.

Any player suspended from playoffs will be effected in the upcoming
tournaments and or next season.

Boston,MA-Boston Metro Flag Football League
The Championship teams are all set as the league will finish up this week with five new champions to be crowned. In the 8Man A Div it will be an all Rhode Championship as The Outlaws will play the Rip Tide. Both Teams are 8-1 on the season.Rip Tide defeated the Outlaws early this year 6-0. In the B Championship the Shamrocks of Brockton,MA will take   on the Irish of Nashua,NH, both teams are 9-1 and in the C Championship Arnold Park of Abington,MA will take on PAL of Tewksbury. In the 4Man A Div the SilverBullets of Assonet,MA will take on Bronze's Edge of Manchester, while in the B Div- the Bingers of Billerica,MA will take on the Hurricanes of Manchester,NH 

     In a display of extremely poor sportsmanship, four DX players were suspended for there actions in a 26-6 loss in the playoffs. With under one minute remaining and PAL having the ball on the DX 5 yardline, DX player Mike Donahue kicked a football being set by an official(1 Game suspension-$50 fine). This act  caused the officials to call the game. What happened next was an embarrassment to the sport as two DX confronted officials and threatened them; Willie Peterson(one year Suspension-$250 Fine) and Pat Dipozza(one Year Suspension-$250 Fine). Captain Jim Cali will receive a one game suspension  and $50 for harassing an official.
Suspensions will be enforced  at the tournaments and/or next league play.
