The game was the largest attended flag football game, with 34,000 paid tickets..(The 1999 Margarita Bowl in San Diego with Doug Flutie drew 3,000 fans).

The Broncos elected to go for two, and Elway Connected with Mark Jackson(one of the three amigos from 1987-1989) which turned out to be the game winner. The NFL legends scored two plays latter when former Seattle Seahawk QB Dave Krieg connected with
Sanjay Beach on a 60 yard pass, where he shaked and baked into the endzone. With the score now 34-33 and 1:36 seconds remaining, the NFL Legends went for two and the win! The Legends where in the wishbone offense and a sweep to Roger Craig could have given them the win but a mishandled snap prevailed the Bronco win. On the Last play John Elway's son Jack(12 years Old) handed off to RB Floyd Little to end the game.
To start off the Game, Joe Montana looked like he was still in the NFL ,as he marched the legends down field for an opening drive score when he connected with
Louie Wright on a 5 yard pass, David Treadwell(kicked for both teams) kicked the extra point to make it 7-0. On the Broncos first drive, Elway looked sharp as he ran in for a TD from 10 yards out, a Treadwell Kicked tied it at 7. On the next play Montana connected on a 70 yard pass to Walter Stanley, a treadwell kick gave the legends a 14-7 lead. With 1:44 Left in the 1st quarter Elway connected with Mark Jackson on a 20 yard TD pass, a treadwell kick tied the score at 14. In the second quarter Dave Krieg took the NFL legends down field and completed an 8 yard TD pass to Sanjay Beach, a treadwell kick gave the Legends a 21-14 lead. On the last play of the half Elway connected with Reggie Rivers on a 20 yard TD pass to end the scoring at the half. Treadwell tried a fake field goal and was de-flagged at the 2yard line. The score at the half was Legends 21 Broncos 20.
In the 2nd half Montana started the scoring with a 10 yard TD pass to former teammate RB-Roger Craig. Montana appeared to connect with Sonja Beach for the two point conversion, but head Referee and former NFL official
Ben Dreith ruled that he was out of bounds. Beach appeared to be in bounds and the call turned out to be costly. On the next offense series Elway hit Steve Foley in the enzone on a 15 yard pass, the extra point failed and the Legends were in the lead 27-26, when Elway worked his final magic at Mile High stadium.
